This workshop has been devised for participants with or without previous bookbinding experience.

During this workshop, the participants will have the opportunity to make 2 books. These are the Dos-a-Dos Softback Binding and the Accordion Page Fold Hardback Case Bound Book.

The first book to be made will be the Dos-a-Dos Softback Binding. This book is a compound binding with tabbed closures and the placement of 2 sets of page sections back to back, in order to be viewed separately. This back to back binding, potentially pairs 2 narratives separately but both within 1 cover.

Guy Begbie is an interdisciplinary book artist, bookbinder and printmaker based in Wales, UK. He exhibits his work internationally and has been teaching at various UK universities as a lecturer and book arts co-ordinator since 1995. His professional arts background and teaching experience is multi- disciplinary.
