Drypoint – Develop Your Own Project

£135

Drypoint: etching without the acid.

Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool/needle.

In this course you will learn what intaglio printing is all about. You will make a variety of plates from different materials and using specialist tools, and learn inking, wiping and proofing techniques to get the most from your prints. All prints will be made by you on the big Frankenstein etching press!

By the end of the course, you will be able to take home your prints and hopefully a heap of inspiration to continue your journey into print!

This workshop is perfect for those who have tried drypoint and want to further develop their skills and for beginners. An experienced printmaker will be guiding you throughout the course to offer individual help. The workshop runs during four consecutive Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Starting on the 18th of April until the 9th of May.

There will be a maximum of 6 people per group.

Participants must be over the age of 18yo.
