During this workshop, participants will learn how to create a Coptic Stitch Binding. It is a beautiful binding with an exposed spine that showcase the stitching work, which is typically hidden behind the cover. The binding allows the book to open flat, making it perfect for sketching, note-taking, personalised gifts, or serving as the basis for artists’ books. Students will leave the workshop with a hand-bound book and the skills to create more at home, using minimal equipment.

• Folding, stacking and prepunching signatures in preparation for stitching.
